Hilberg-Pasquero

As usual in the Piedmont wine originally was produced for personal and regional consumption.

Only 30 km away, some people had more ecological energy - in Barolo and Barbaresco. Thanks to their consequent specialization on high-quality-wines these regions became famous all over the world.

 
 
 

Michele Pasquero and Annette Hilberg met about 21 years ago and fell
in love with each other.
They where united by the same vision: An ecological developed and
produced wine, which in quality easily can compete with Piedmont's
famous neighbours.
Michele had just finished his agriculture studies and Annette was pretty
fond on ecological agriculture, too.
So they started to realize their vision on the wine-yard, which is in the
family Pasquero's possession for several generations. Years of hard work
and three kids later, you can now see the results:

The great gift of good earth and easy terms of weather in Piedmont enable
us to produce an extraordinary wine.
It is a big effort to cultivate and produce ecologically supervised wine
(Lotta Guidata), but worth it. Many people already confirmed that it is
indeed possible to produce world-class-standard wine here in Roero.
Thus gives us and our friends the certainty that - in a world of producers
being constantly under pressure of decreasing prices - producing healthy
high quality products is a benchmark worth working for.
We would like to thank all of you, who encouraged us in not giving up and
relying on our believe in quality.
